Annabel Lee Mine, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA

An attractive Annabel Lee Mine Fluorite, featuring a cluster of very lustrous Fluorite cubes measuring individually to 35mm width. The Fluorites are transparent, attractively coloured with a pale yellow centre zoning to a thin purple, then blue zone, and becoming colourless at the edges. The cubes have stepped modifications, and a sprinkling of tiny Pyrites on the surface, which in many places are now gone, but are indicated by dark purple outlines coloured within the surface of the Fluorite. An aesthetic specimen from a classic USA fluorite locality.
