ex. Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences Collection
28mm x 25mm x 28mm
A sweet specimen of Manganite from the classic German location. The matrix is dominantly a seam of lustrous intergrown Manganite crystals, which at the surface become elongate well formed crystals. Several lustrous blades of white Baryte are intergrown between the Manganite. The Manganite crystals average 3mm width, and are up to 6mm in length. They are very well formed with sharp terminations and a really bright metallic lustre. The crystals are in excellent condition, a very attractive specimen! A gift to the Academy in 1980 by William Severance. From: Kristalle and Crystal Classics
