A druse of pale purple Amethyst crystals forms a bed of sharply terminated crystals on which has grown lustrous translucent to transparent Calcite crystals. The Calcite forms radiating clusters of elongate crystals which measure to 10mm. Small tan coloured crystals of perhaps a different generation of Calcite(?) are also scattered over the specimen. The Amethyst exhibits zoning with darker purple centres, creating a very attractive specimen.
