Fort Victoria, Zimbabwe
ex. Martin Zinn Collection
29mm x 52mm x 15mm
A cluster of pale green to dark grey Alexandrite crystals with minor silvery Mica inclusions, mostly opaque with some slightly translucent green edges. The Alexandrite crystals have good lustre, and show reasonably well defined crystals with sharp edges, and exhibit the classic cyclic twinning. There is a slight colour change to a more reddish tinge in different lighting, a characteristic of Alexandrite, but it is not strong for specimens from this location.$425
