ex. Martin Zinn Collection
65mm x 70mm x 24mm
A lovely example of Cadmium-rich Smithsonite, graduating from pale to intense yellow across the specimen. The crystals have replaced Dolomite and retain the well formed curved saddle-shaped whorls. Very fine Smithsonite crystals then coat the larger whorls giving it a slightly furry appearance. The Smithsonite crystals are well presented against a sparkling drusy micro-Quartz coating the matrix plate, making this a particularly good example from this location. Further Smithsonite crystals coat the back of the specimen but are not as well formed.$400
