Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico
48mm x 53mm x 39mm
A really interesting display of 'poker chip' Calcite for which Charcas is famous; with lustrous opaque white to grey, hexagonal tabular crystals of Calcite, ranging in width from 1cm to 4.8cm and thickness of 1mm to 5mm. The crystals appear to be stacked like 'poker chips' culminating in the largest crystal, with a second smaller stack interleaved at an angle along the main crystal stack. Displays well from any angle. From: Kristalle and Crystal Classics
