Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia

A superb specimen of primary Malachite and Azurite which appear to be in equilibrium with each other together forming well shaped tabular crystals. Primary Malachite with a sparkling sub-adamantine luster has a range of crystal growth from foliated to intergrown clusters of well formed curved crystals measuring to 4mm. Azurite is present as dark to electric blue very lustrous aligned partial crystals forming the two sharp aligned terminations of the specimen. Rounded ghost impressions are present in the Malachite on the underside. A really fascinating specimen.
