Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia

Tiny gemmy crystals of Mimetite coat Tennantite amongst a bed of milky Quartz crystals on matrix. The Mimetites are pale transparent brown and prismatic, measuring to just over 3mm in length and are <1mm in width. They are very lustrous and sparkly. The Tennantite is almost completely covered, but the tetrahedral shape is still discernable, with the main crystal measuring 2cm across. The Quartz is prismatic with elongate crystals to almost 1cm length. A superb combination specimen.
