A clear to translucent white tristetrahedra Boracite crystal, with good lustre, sits neatly on a matrix of Anhydrite. Boracite is a Magnesium Borate mineral, and many of the finest specimens come from Germany. This particular specimen dates back to the mid 1800s and was donated to the Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia, by the famous collector William Vaux. Accompanied by old labels.$1300
