Stacks of isolated dark blue prismatic crystals of Azurite with sub-adamantine lustre sit upon a Limonite/Goethite gossanous matrix sprinkled with tiny light green Malachite crystals. The Azurite crystals are predominantly concentrated on one part of the specimen with isolated crystals scattered over the rest of the specimen. A well balanced display specimen from a classic American Copper locality. Accompanied by a beautiful old handwritten label from the Freiberg Mining Academy which likely pre-dates the 1920s.
